simple thing to do is see what else he can get for the money! if its a load of shit then you know the saab is the way forward! also depends what he wants it for!

just sold my 51 plate FSSH 9-5 185bhp 2.3 for Ł1300.
was excellent condition all over. only sold as I'm getting a newer car.
have owned saabs for 20 years - and that car is well overpriced - I wouldnt pay Ł2000
keep looking theres alot of cheaper good condition 9-5's about.

They can be hard work to shift on. A friend sold his after 2 months at what seems like a great price compared to that one and with lower miles.
