Default injector removal

does anyone know how to take the fuel rail and injectors out of the inlet for a 2.0ltr pinto? or less specifically does anyone know how to remove injectors in general? might be a similar fitment to these... just dont want to force them and damage the injectors. thanks.

Hi
the injectors are usually held in the fuel rail by some metal clips which slide out, the rubber "O" rings at either end of the injectors are a good tight fit and will require a fair old wiggle and a tug to get them out. when refitting smear a small amount of grease on the "O" rings to ease them in.

Mike.

ive changed injectors in a zetec fuel rail a few times and if theyre anything like, carefully use a small flat head screwdriver to get in and lever them out bit by bit. when refitting, put them in place and carefully use a vice to press them back into the fuel rail. CAREFULLY though! dont over do it!
