Default cossie head - back on - problems?!

put a few cossie heads on before, and a shed load of other heads with hydraulic lifters in.......only ever had one or two run lumpy till the lifters pumped up - this common on a cossie when head gets put on with brand new lifters - have to pump up for a bit till they will run properly on all 4?

it runs balanced, it seems to be firing on all 4, but runs dead or flat just like its got fouled up plugs

hoping to get it running again for a while after work tomorrow as its late now

anyone else had the post headwork poor running?

have you timed it up correctly using the back of the lug on the crank pulley, rather than the timing mark?

have you plugged in the coolant temperature sensor (blue one at the back of the head)?

problem sorted

i checked the timing and i was a tooth out - not sure how that happened - probably got confused with teh cut out instead of the lug as you said - chekced timing belt book this morning to make sure - took it apart over 2 weeks ago and broke the original pulley wheel hence forgetting which to use!

the main problem turned out to be leads 2+3 round the wrong way - must have fallen off as i passed then through the inlet manifold and then put on the wrong way round

cheers for help anyways
