ok

my appologies, after posting that i suddenly thought i cant actually remember what i did to mine, as i did it at the same time as i converted the loom for a series 2 engine.

Do you have the looms for central locking and electric windows?

or literally the winders and motors

Definately not good then

Fords, as a rule NEVER MAKE THINGS EASY.

you definately need those looms, without them i can guarantee you will have a nightmare, unless you are good at wiring from schematic diagrams that is?

Like i said aswell, i cant remember if these have the plugs on the looms for them to plug into.

Im pretty certain they dont to be honest,so even with the looms you would have to wire in your own supplies to the fuse box, (not the easiest), for the looms to have power to them.

Fitting the looms (if you want to fit them properly) means the whole dash out aswell.....?

If you wanted them fitted i could sort this out for you if you dont live to far away and have got a spare bit of cash? About the best i could offer really?

i did this on my mk3 xr3i a few years ago, you do need the complete looms for both bits and with those the power supply is under the fusebox behind the dash you just plug them in and put the fuses in the fusebox i did mine in less than a day.

Yes you are right

however the mk3 cabbys as far as i am aware never came with any of these items.

I really wish i could remember?? I also fitted electric heated mirrors for mine, i definately remember wiring those in, just cant remember about the windows & central locking.

Good luck finding a mk3 with the looms in theyre like rocking horse shit to find these days at a scrap yard. Most of the ones i see have manual everything. And Mk4 wiring is different?
