Default Boost for stage 1

I have a 2wd saphh with a 4x4 engine with a stage 1 chip.
Fuel pressure is on 3.5 bar.
What's the max. boost pressure, continue and peak: example 1 bar peak and continue 0.8

Depends on whose chip, mate. Ask them.

I don't know where the chip is from, but wich boost is safe to drive without damage anything like the headgasket or something.

It 100% depends on the chips mapped injector duration so this question has no answer im afraid.

It's safe to say that all Stage 1 chips run good till 14.3 lbs of boost - some require green injectors so i'm told!

Its never "Safe" to assume anything im afraid..

Say that chip was for a 7.2:1 lump.. she would have circa 30degrees advance at peak torque with a bar of boost....

POP!!

Test... dont guess.

I also had a car in once, bought a second hand chip of a mate, hit the motorway at 16psi and didnt make the next slip road before he melted THREE pistons...

Brought the car to me for investigation, chip was indeed fine.. very odd
Took the head off and it became immediately apparant why it melted...

The head had 26mm ports!!

Well Stu, when I buy a Stg 1 chip from PJ Moto, Amber, GGR, etc it's safe to say it'll be safe to 14.3 lbs of boost.

An unknown chip you inherit classed as a stage 1 is like a box of chocolates - u never know what ur gonna get. It may NOT even be a Stage 1 at all. You're right -in the end, it's buyer beware.

Big ports. The head flowed more than the chip was mapped for. Lots of air but not enough fuel...det...det...det
