Default head off or not?

to change the valve guides and stem seals on a 2wd cos?

Stem seals can probably be done with the head in situ (special tool needed).

No sure about the guides, I would guess not though.

So head off for the guides but not the for stem seals, yes?

I would take the head of to do seals. its not a long job takeing the head of a cossie
you can decoke and lap in the valves at the same time then.it save a lot of fiddleing about.

Thats is the way i would go

I'd rather not take it off if i can do them with it on as i have had the head off lots of times and cant be bothered to do it again, time and cost (new gasket, bolts), etc. Would prefere quick and easy method
