ere,,can someone tell me what the colours are for on the ecu,mine has blue red + white boxes on it,,??can i change ecu for different colours,,if not why not????puzzled

 

not sure m8 id stick with the right one for your car , they must of changed them for a reason , possibly changed sensor positions on the connections , maybe different suppliers????????? .............

 

You can use different types of ecus, just don't mix and match a non-knock-sensor-type and the knock-sensor-type ecus since this will need work on the wiring as well.

 

just checked ebay their ,and someone was selling the exact looking ecu as mine,,3 boxes,,1blue,red + 1 white,,thing is he claims its an s1 model ecu,my cars an s2,and has the same (visually)ecu,,the reason im after one is my car wont run,(check out "s2 wont run rite"by akito-man in rs turbo prob forum),,i got the car as a non runner(problems listed on forum),and keep getting a blank ,until i seen this item for sale,,(wonder if an s1 ecu has been fitted ?),,garrd,wot now,,gettin a fuel ecu to see if its that ,,gonna ask the previous owner some more questions ,,my head(personal)is totally wrecked now

well i have an 88 s2 e plate and is now running a s1 ecu, as i brought it chipped works fine just doesnt have the circuit for the knock sensor but thats sh*t anyhow and if setup correctly shouldn`t know anyhow

 

the ecu colours on my S1 are blue/red/blue
