Default back fire when switch of engine still need help

hi when i turn of my rs s2 get out of car ya get a big bang from exhaust any thoughts sounds like a back fire why is it doing this makes people jump whitch is quite funny but want it to stop help

you probably have a leaky injector or warm up injector and the fuel will self ignite with the heat off the pistons

the car has no flamer kit but ill check the timing i would of thought if it was a tooth out it would feel all boged down but it dosent i will still check thanks

still think timing get it checked my s2 done exact same got it set up and gone

my car has same prob ,I put it down to unburnt fuel igniting inside the hot exhaust after the engine was switched of

mine used to do this if i switched off the engine without letting it idle for a coupla minutes

i have same problem but i think it is timing as i did it all when put it back together just need it set up now an hopefully will be sorted....

i have now got around to checking static timing and its spot on i am running a 1.9 is it worth finding the true tdc with a dti gage as i never new about that untill i had built the engine nowmatter if i advance or retard the timing it still goes bang so i dont now what to do any ideas

my car does it, it didnt do it before i changed my cambelt, so mine must be 1 tooth out, cant be arsed to change it, like annoying the neighbors with a gunshot sound at night
