Default Ditching the Cossie Distributor....Whats involved exactly???

My understanding is that on the Cossie you can bin the Dizzy by using a seperate sensor mounted somewhere else (ive seen them on the cam cover).

This needs to have to blades on a rotor the same as the phase sensor (90 deg's apart), but without the Dizzy, what happens to the Oil Pump drive???

What type of sensor is needed???

Any thoughts?

Cheers Stu,

Yeah ive seen the parts, but was wondering is the system any more efficient in terms of reliability when changing the Phase sensor setup for a Camshaft sesnor setup???

How is the extra Cam lobe part actually fitted, and how does is stay locked in the correct position, how do you ensure the correct position on fit???

i was hoping for more of an explanation.....

Cheers

No more reliable at all IMO.
Lobes are bolted into back of cam.
Its positioned the same as it always was. The original sensor is just a cam sensor to start with, you are just changing its location, nothing more.
