hello, i hope someone can help me with this problem, i have a escort 1996 on a n plate it has done 67k, its got a 1.6 zetec 16v engine. When i am driving along the car will lose all power and then the power will come back then go then come back, could be mistaken for fuel starvation but have had this check and "No Probs". Also the car will randomly start to accelrate or clutch is dipped it will rev and somtime cut out. I have checked the leads and plugs these where as balck as black so i cleaned them and no prob, (by the way plugs have done about 7k) The car is perfect apart from this and i want to get it sorted. Any ideas what it could be or where i could take it to, to get it sorted. Also the car has been to ford many of time with this prob and they say "No Probs" but there must be a probem please help thanks

 

could be a hundred reasons for that problem. if you say the plugs are black i would start with a co check.

Check all your brethers pipes etc, or small vacume pipes, Just have a look around for pipes that may have fallen off
