Cossie 4x4 vibration - that old nugget
Ok, been having an undiagnosable vibration on my 4x4 for a little whille now. It's intermittent and can't be reproduced easily.
However, I have recently noticed that it seems to happen after the car has been driven for 20 minutes or so.
Vibration is most noticeable on long left/right hand bends on motorway, at all speeds and remains when the clutch is pressed or car in neutral with idle revs (so prob. not a gearbox/engine/clutch problem).
The driveshaft is not knocking on the exhaust before you ask
Any input would be great

had something similar on a 2wd saff but on right hand bend's
turned out to be exhaust vibrating on anti roll bar! there was about half inch
clearance when stationary but you could see were it had been making contact
so moved it over abit and it never done again.
good luck

check wheel bearing jack the car up and with wheel still attached check for any movement in the 10.30 and 4.30pm position then grab the wheel in the 12pm and 6pm and pull back and forth this will tell u if the ball-joint is worn if in doubt replace your bottom arms (broken ball-joints cause mucho damage)
