Hi all can any 1 help me plz i went out in my car the other night and when i got home my battery was flat so i tuck the battery of and put it on charge then when i put the battery back on the alternator started 2 smoke .Does any 1 no wot it is plz hes a pic of me car [img][/img] cheers lads

 

did you check any bare wires wernt showing? was one of the leads earthing out?
was the car running when the alternator started to smoke?

 

Hi m8 the car was not started when the alternator started 2 smoke i was just puting the battery back on i got the red wire on the battery and as soon as i put the black 1 on it starts 2 smoke

 

sounds like the alternator is fubar mate ...
