Right got my brakes sorted this evening, took the car down the road and back up. 1st fine, 2nd fine, 3rd car shakes to death, 4th/5th same. got it on stands and fired it up, 1st fine, 2nd fine, 3rd fine upto 3000rpm.
Basically the whole car and i do mean the whole car shakes! Its definitly the gearbox or linkage from that(driveshafts) etc. You can hear like a tappin noise(sounds like tappets) but from the gbox.
If i let off of WOT and let it die down, right at it gets to its idle, the whole engine bounces forwards just once(but doesnt make any extra rev/stallin noise).
The gbox mounts and engine mounts looked fine when i re-fitted the engine. he gearbox is an rst s2 lsd equipped one.
Any ideas to check? as i said the main movement is in 3rd past 3000rpm, 4th and 5th. but in ALL gears it does that last bounce when it drops to idle.
Thanx, Harry
