Right since ive refitted everything into my shell i havent managed to get into 1st or second. I never removed the gear box, however i did remove the gearstick& linkage(as one) from the gearbox. I simply bolted it all back together once everything was in but it will only find 3/4/5/Reverse....
Any ideas? its an IB5 box (i think) Series 2 rst gbox with lsd if that makes it easier,lol. Was working fine before. Advice/ help appreciated as i dont fancy pulling away in 3rd when its running

Undo the linkage put the gear stick in forth then pull the rod from the gearbox back till it meets the linkage and connect it up and see if that works it's more of a trail and error thing till you get all the gears

 

right so basically the rod that comes from the gearstick i need to push/n pull till i feel it connect to the linkage? is that right?
