hi all . i have been advised to re wire the fuel pump on my saff as im told that at higher revs when running using the original wiring the pump may not be getting the full power needed to supply the fuel and may start to run lean..
i hate wiring but gonna have to do it so can anyone supply me with some info (idiot style please) on the best way to go about doing this.. plus which wire rating to use.. or do i just trace and copy the old stuff.. many thanks..

Use the origional power feed to trigger a new relay. Use this relay to run the pump only using 30 amp cable and a 20 or 25 amp fuse (pump draws 18 amps) at the battery. Run in a new earth cable from pump back to the battery (no fuse required).
Hope that helps...

thanks mate.... so am i to replace the original relay as in place it wher it was befor but just replace the wiring from their back... i have re wired the relay through a switch so that it only comes on when ignition is turned on and the pump can stay running as my ecu for my new engine has no trigger for the fuel pump so all i got to do is re new 2 wires .. thats good so all i need to knw is ... do i swap relay for new or is it a new relay wired in a different place... many thanks
