Default Changing the rocker cover gasket........Esc cos

I know its not a rocket science changing this but is there certain things i need to be doing????

Like torquiing the bolts down etc etc...........

Any tip's as i'm looking to do one night this week!

Easy job, just ensure the rubber seals are correctly positioned, tighten bolts to 10 - 15 Nm.

The so called 'Half moon seals' two little ones over the front camshaft bearing. you can put some loctite 5923 or equal on them.

Indeed make sure to have 2 half moon seals.

Yep did this last night, the 2 orange half moon seals were put back without using any loctite............Should i really be using loctite on them

If so i'll take it off again tonight.

I wondered what was on the ends of the seals

This will ensure a better sealing especialy in the corner between half moon seal, the bearing and the head but if you already have fitted the cam cover I would suggest to have a look in 100miles to controle there is not leak but not to wast time by putting it out for that.

Cheers fella, i was going to retighten the bolts after 100 or so miles anyway!
