boost problem with my saff

Default boost problem with my saff

hi,

ive just fitted a new engine in my saff and it is not boosting properly.
it begins to boost then it suddenly stops, sort of stalling?

any ideas? any advice would help

Check if your pipe's from the turbo to the valve are correctly fitted. I had the same problem. If not, check your pressure and make sure it's not overboosting.

sounds like and air leak somewhere?

dumpvalve sticking open?

Yepp sounds like air leak , if have dump valve blank off and conncting hoses and try from there mate

Thankyou for your replies,

i have taken the dumpvalve off and blanked it off, it is much better but still does it, now at much higher revs. the actuator does'nt look to healthy, could it be that?

what is it boosting too ? could it be theres somthing not connected ? amal valve etc ? take actuator off and have a nosey to see if everthings as it should , u could always turn boost down and see if this helps while your there

yes it is boosting but doing same as before just at higher revs. gonna sound daft now, how do i turn the boost down? my first cossie!

With actuator rod disconnected u need to turn it ANTI-CLOCKWISE AS IN MAKING IT LONGER give it half a turn and take it from there it probaly needs a good setting up anyways mate so boosting would probaly be best left alone just now lol have u got a boost guage fitted ? is the wastegate on the turbo free when the actuators off or does it stick ? the bit that rod connects onto on the turbo
