Default Question about oil restrictor

For some reason the search facility has gone so i have to ask the question here.

Can anyone tell me the internal diameter of the oil restrictor that goes on the T3 4x4 Cossie turbo unit? I had to remove mine when retro fitting my Maestro Turbo unit but this doesnt have a restrictor, cant find it now

Found what i was looking for, but unfortuneately the article only talks about enlarging to 3.5mm for increased oil flow along with a high capacity oil pump.

So its smaller than 3.5mm if thats any help at all....

Try PM'ing one of the Turbo Recon specialists on here. I think one of the fella's on here is called Dan. He might be able to help.

Cheers for that mate. Yes, it is fitted, as is the fully rebuilt engine!

The problem i had was fitting the oil feed off my Maestro which is 6mm, and i was sure the Cossie was at least half that. I have smoking problems which is definatly related to the turbo (since fully rebuilt) so this was the answer i was looking for! If you could PM me all relevant info that would be great.

Gareth,

It was only an article about building and tuning cosworth engines, and all it said was it was enlarged to 3.5mm to increase oil flow.

Im sure Danny (see link i sent you) would be able to give you the exact size...

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Found the one i lost.... It measures 5mm one end and just over 2mm the other.. I have had a standard fitting brazed and drilled to suit but there is still smoke, so i'm looking at valve guides now. Bugger.
