Default Cossie running problem

Right was planning to take the saph somewhere to have her set up again now ive sorted the fuel pump wireing but still having a few probs. Had an off boost miss fire problem which was intermittent and i never worked out what was causing it but the car still ran ok, now the car doesnt want to run properly either

Symptoms now are you can start it and its ok, then the revs will go up and down to almost stalling then go up again and down again and occasionally stall, then seem ok and does it again any ideas?!

Had to have the internal wireing re done by a mate as it was a mess (cheers mikey B from sound secure 07851115590 for all ur alarm and stereo needs ) and it ran ok when he left and now its playin up again

Changed quite a few bits on it, its got a group a coil now but still now joy, changed the CPS and TPS and dizzy cap.

If i dont get any joy just gonna get it trialered somewhere like Stu's and just get everything fixed but wanted to drive her there if poss

Cheers for any help peeps

I had something similar on my Escort Cos, has the sierra got the two plugs that sit right next to the power steering fluid tank ??, they run across the top of the N/S inner wheelarch.

I wiggled those about with the engine running and the engine note changed and has been fine since

Might be worth checking for any error codes....

Have you tried running it without the ISCV??? if it does not rise and fall then this shows the ISCV is getting a pulse from the ECU...

Not much help i know, but at least it might help rule something else out....

Nah its not the sensor mate if u mean the TPS as i changed it with a spare one, has the same problem when ive tried both, cant see it being the ISCV as it seems 2 do it when warm with it on or off!! could poss be an air leak in the inlet as a mate suggested as its intermittently doing it so gonna rip off the inlet manifold and re-do all the gaskets and take it from there!! gotta sort a couple oil leaks anyway so not like its going anywhere for a while

Has slowly gotten worse over time 2 so could poss well just be an air leak thats gotten worse!! will soon know anyway lol.
