Sucking in air from inlet manifold?? Saff cossie.
Hi peeps,
I have had my saff a few months and over the last couple of weeks I have been hearing what sounds like an air leak when the bonnet is up.
Today I finally found where it was - it was staring me right in the face!
On the side of the inlet manifold (as you look under the bonnet directly behind the ISCV) there is a nipple type thing that somebody has attached a piece of tube to, this tube is about 3cm long and it just has an open end and the air is sucking into this like a goodun.
I'm guessing that this should be blocked, as under boost surely it would change from being a negative pressure to a positive pressure and I'd be losing boost.
Could this also explain why my car has been running rich as well?
I'm fairly sure I need to block it, I thought I'd just check to make sure.
Thanks,
Luke.
