Hi guys, my car is a 2008 mk2.5 focus 1.6 petrol. this car has performed 100% since I bought it a decade ago. However it has now developed an electrical fault. From cold it starts & runs perfect. After approx 5-6miles all dash warning lights come on. The fuel gauge reads normal but the temp gauge drops to zero. Then after about 10secs the dash reverts to normal except for the ESP warning & the dash screen states the acceleration is reduced. If I turn off the engine and immediately start it again all is ok with out any warning lights showing.If I then turn it off & leave alone for 15min+ and try to start it the alarm buzzer goes off & the dash screen shows red. Turning the key to start it is to no avail as ignition will not engage.
