Default Flickering dash lights

New here.....flickering dash lights !!
Hi all,
i've recently bought a 52 plate 2003 focus st170 ( pics to follow ) and i love it......problem is, the dash lights have started flickering and two days ago the o/s main beam h/l blew.....this morning the n/s headlight blew....i had to drive to work with side lights and fog lights on !!....apart from this the car is fantastic....i know you have prob had this one before but any ideas or pointers to other discussions would be a great help.....regards Damo.

Hmmm. I think you have a bad earth or an electrical fault.

Check for corrosion around all the earthing points in the engine bay

Occasional flickering does happen if you have got the bulb brightness set to max. Try turning it down a bit. Bulbs blowing just sounds like a coincidence!

Like other said, it's one of the "quirks" of the ST170 lol. If you turn down the dimmer a little bit, it will stop flickering.

Mine did this too, you can as stated turn them down a touch. Its not uncommon for two h/l bulbs to go in close succession especially if they were put in as a pair.
