Hi chaps ,
So what other management options do u have for the RS Duratec engine ,??
I know OMEX is a favorite ,
Would cossy management work as it can be used on the Zetecs ,
Fiesta RST EECIV ????????
dont know owt about the duratecs basicly would the ways that people run 16V zetecs work on the Duratec ??????/
Thanks in advance

Focus uses EECV at the mo
Just enquiring for a friend think he wants to ditch the complete loom/management and use something else , It may be an engine transplant ????Kit car ???
i said FRST may work but dunno for sure as its duratec not zetec , or is the focus engine more of a zetec hybrid and not one of those new Mazda duratec jobies ?????

its more of a tarted up zetec mate, and you probably would be able tp use FRST or indded cossie stuff.
not sure on exactly how the two systems would have to be mixed, but it cant be tooo hard.

Thats what i was thinking ,
at the end of the day it will have a CPS , coil pack , most . Charge temp sensor and aux air device are on the inlet manifold , ( if u use a escort zetec , or FRST one )
water temp will be on the thermostat housing . thats just about it .
FRST EECIV should plug straight into that lot and away u go . ( sort of )
I know the head must be very similar to the zetec ones as i make a couple of stainless bits for them , Focus 2.0l stuff fits the RS etc

Omex i think is the most common management to use , but this requires a bigger budget than if u could make something a little older work .
Thats why i was thinking cossy or EECIV
