Hi, new to this forum and I am afraid not a mechanical genius, so please bear with me..

I have a genuine 27k mile 2007 Focus that has developed a strange fault.

The drivers side headlight will come on briefly, then flicker and then go off. Whilst it is either on or flickering, the washer motor runs and when I put the wipers on the drivers side indicator comes on?? Everything on the passenger side works perfectly without issue.

I have tried various wiring diagrams and it shows that all of those share a common earth point but I have no idea where this is and even if this is likely to be the cause.

Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated as it is making the car undriveable.

The earth points are underneath the headlights, you need to remove them and give the earths a good clean. They are known to get corroded under there as they hold the damp well. I had a flickering headlight on my old ST, cleaned the earths and it cured it.
