The Alcon route is the "preferred" route

this might have been using an organic clutch as AP dont recomend using an organic plate with a standard cover.

using an alcon 6 paddle with a standard cover and bearing is perfectly fine

The AP kit with organic plate (+bearing and cover) is fine for road and to preserve the box.
If you don't mind to have trouble to start the car on traffic jam you can go for the 6 paddles (better locking but less feeling).
I also heard about an intermediate with AP cover and Alcon plate but never talk to someone using it. (I don't really like this kind of hybride stuff anyway)
