hi there guys and girls my brother in law has a 1990 ford sierra sapphire ghia but it wont lock on the drivers door?? and number 2 the speedo all of a sudden stopped working?? can any one help its a right hand drive in new zealand thanks shane

 

Might be something as simple as a plastic link broken on the back of the door barrel?
Not sure about the speedo though....

I used to work at Ford, it was a fairly common thing on Sierras and Granadas...
I take it the speedo cable hasn't pulled/fallen out the back of the speedo? Otherwise, the nylon drive in the gearbox could have worn...
Hope you can sort it easily...
