Default 1800 Zetec (130hp) advance timing maps

Hi,

Does anyone have the base advance maps for the 130PS Zetec 1800? It would be great to have them for starters...

The engine is going to replace the 1.6 Zetec-S on my KA.

Thanks.

If you have the original code out of the ecu I'll have a look for them. I can usually find the base and altitude spark tables pretty quickly.

Hmm... That would be great but I don't have the original ECU, 130hp version of the engine isn't available in Turkey except for a "few" Escort XR3i Cabrios... Even if I had the ECU, I can't get the codes out...

By the way, the engine is 105hp pre '96 version, I have 2.0 Mondeo cams to make it 130hp spec.

If some other kind soul on the board has the ecu file and can send it to me I'll look at it.

I can get the codes out of an ecu but need to have the ecu to do it. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who could lend me their ecu either.

1.8 115hp and 2.0 128hp ECUs are available, they probably have similar advance maps but I guess I'll have to pay over 200 quid to get my hands on a used one. Maybe I can borrow one, but that I can't send...

Thanks a lot for lending a hand, I'll inform you in case I can get one.

If you want I can e-mail you the standard BASE_SPARK_TABLE and ALTITUDE_SPARK_TABLE for the COSY small turbo Escort Cosworth, 93-94 EARS Mondeo 2.0l automatic and 95-96 DEWY Mondeo 2.0l manual ecu's, I've got them on an Excel sheet.

If you don't want to broadcast your e-mail address PM me.

That's more than enough! Please send them to:

1 8 0 0 k a @ g m a i l . c o m

(the gaps are to avoid bots, please write it with no gaps)

I'd be very happy if you could send all the 3 engine spark tables, I'm curious about the Turbo spark advance. Thanks a lot!

They are more than a help, thanks a lot

By the way, I guess it's not right to treat "Load Percentage" as "TPS Percentage", anyway, I'll map the ECU this way for starters. Thanks again.

Glad to have been of help.

Percent load won't relate too closely to percent TPS but as you say, you've got to start somewhere. Might be worth retarding all values by some 5 degrees before you start. An engine will run with almost any retarded ignition and it's better than pinking. That said, the values in the Ford tables are subject to various multipliers and adders that will almost certainly end up raising the final value.
