HI Guys,

After a spirited drive around a sprint circuit at the weekend i noticed that there was some oil that had come out of a small "port" next to the selector shaft (See below in RED ignore the arrow borrowed pic from elsewhere)





Does anyone know what this port/nipple is for? and why oil was working its way oil during runs?

I'd also like to know this; same happens on my SVT (identical to the ST170).

 

from what i can see and have been told this is a breather for the gearbox, on track days i just fit some small tubing to it to allow it to breath and drain back.

seems like its nothing to worry bout
