Default Saph 4x4 running problems

Hey guys, am after some hints and tips here from you peeps.

I've got a 1992 j reg saph 4x4 ebony black. i ahd been getting problems with an after market immobiliser which was wired into cut the starter. Removed it and had rewired it all and car turns over perfect. There was a alarm system fitted (cut)into the orignal alarm so I also removed that too and rejoined the 2 wires that was cut.

The problem I now have is that I get power up to my Group A coil but nothing out of it, checked my ecu loom for power and hey presto nothing either, fuel pump works cos its been rewired at some point but no spark.

Anyone able to help me out here? Only had her back on the road for 2 weeks too

CheeRS in advance

I will give you a hint "Checked my ECU loom, and hey presto, nothing either" you have kind of answered your own question, hence you have no spark

You need to trace this back and see why the ECU has no power.

Sent you a PM, before we discuss immobilisers I'd check your ecu fuse and see if it's blow or keeps blowing after you change it.

As I say you need to trace the wiring back to the ECU relay etc, I don't think the standard immoby cuts the ECU power, I thought it cut ignition?

A bit confused from your first post what has been removed but thought I would mention that I have found that if you remove the factory alarm module the car will not start. Although I could not find it on the wiring diagram there is obviously an ignition feed going through a normally closed relay inside the module. David

Bypassed the immobiliser?
Amal valve has a permanent live (black & red wire) and switched negative from the ecu.

put a key live onto the ecu power with a 30amp fuse and it started no problem, took it out and theres not the same boost as before, check the wires going to the amal valve and had no live power

Do you have power at the amal valve, you need to check this first?

It's powered via the fuel pump relay, so the fact it's running suggests this to be working, unless you have altered your pump wiring?

In addition to what I said above, if you get someone to switch the ignition on whilst you touch it you should be able to hear/feel it 'click'?

Martin

Well thats why then, as I say power is supplied to the Amal via the fuel pump relay, so I would start by checking this.
