i wonder if any body has an idea on how to get a 98 1.8 focus going again the rac chap had over an hour checking it by the roadside and came to the conclusio nthat it was the crank or camshaft sensor i have changed both of these but it is still not firing do you think it is time for a match and a gallon of petrol any ideas would be gratefully accepted

 

Is the engine turning at all?

 

the engine turns freely i should also add that petrol is getting through and there is a spark the diagnostic check swowed no faults

 

Have u checked the cambelt. My mate had his 2.0 zetec one changed and 18months later wouldnt start. It slipped 2 teeth on crank..

She refused to start no matter what

 

i havent looked at that we were about 20 mins into a journey it hesitated on pickup a couple of times before it died completely
