Cosworth breather help!
I am running a 4x4 cosworth 380bhp with a bailey breather system fitted.
After a run and the car is parked up it is pissing oil out of the bottom pipe (the one that goes to fresh air!)
Is this normal or any mods i can do would a catch tank stop this or should i drain it back to the sump?

Ideally the 2 top ports on the Bailey tank should have 1 hose to where the kidney box was and 1 hose to the port underneath the turbo (which normally has a blanking plug fitted and you will need an adequate fitting to use as a breather). Then the smaller pipe under the Bailey tank should be a return to the sump (which you'll need to have boss welded onto the sump) and the larger one on the tank is to atmosphere. Then blank the breather on the cam cover.
You shouldn't have any problems if it's set up like that, if you do then there's a problem.

Ideally yea, but most people dont want to take their sump off to have a boss welded to it.
Hence a lot of people have it the way i said...........
Althou you can get an m14 union and replace the sump plug with it then have an angled adapter fitted so that it returns to there instead of welding a boss on the sump.

If you want to avoid issues, then the proper way is how I posted above, so people should be just a little assed if they want their engines to last. Then you can cancel the breather out as an issue
Bailey sell the kit to fit in to the cam cover, turbo side of block and to the kidney box and alot fit them with no issues - i had one on mine and it worked for the spec - never had a puddle of oil underneath so yes you do have an issue somewhere and i drove mine real hard without issues

so is the cam cover not the correct way as this is how mine is and i sometimes get oil out of the vent to atmosphere pipe??
Blockage??
also might be why i'm getting smoke when i accelerate after going slow.
Possibly, clean out the breather tank thoroughly till the water stops going yellow. Otherwise, might be your rings or stem seals maybe. Whole possible reasons. Having the breather at the cam cover isn't a bad thing, but the block needs to breath on both sides, so it would be ideal if you can open the port under the turbo up and have a pipe on the tank for that.
Will I be able to do that on my existing setup or do I need a different separator??
Engine was rebuilt 3000 miles ago and valve stem seals were fine when head was off recently a few needed doing and they were done before it was put back together,
How do you recommend cleaning system out?
