Need some help here, Have a 02 ford focus 2.0 zetec and recently the fuel gauge is reading inaccurately by a long stretch although i have the usual problem of the dash when key is disengaged it the fuel and temp needle sit usually at half way. Would this be the instrument cluster or the sender unit?

Cluster fault, they were replaced by Ford as there was a large faulty batch, could be worth seeing if yours is included, but it might be too old now for it to be done FOC.

 

Yeah doubt they would fix that tbh, Was hoping the sender would be at fault as it would be cheaper.
