Default jerky and juddering s1

right got this problem with my s1, its very strange but i don't know what it is, so i thought i'd post here and see if any of you good folk have had the same problem and cured it some way or other.

basiclly when i'm cruising along say 50mph in 5th, the revs will be at about 1500rpm - 200rpm roughly, the car will start jerking back an forth and juddering, the only way to get away from this is by chucking in to my power gear 3rd and do 50mph in this gear.

even if i whipped it into 4th and start to speed up back to 50mph it starts jerking and juddering, and then as it starts to pick up its speed again it goes away.

but it feels like it doing this problem when the revs are low so crusing along in 4th or 5th and say revs between 1000rpm and 2500rpm.

any ideas or similar problems or how i can rectify this. None of my s2's or other turbos do this and i drive the same way, there is definetely something not right with it.

cheeRS hope you can help

It could be a number of things, what spec is your engine, has the cam been changed, as I used to have problem like this on one of my cars, it had a high lift cam and just wouldnt drive smoothly at low revs in a high gear.

Have you serviced the car lately, new plugs, fuel filter and so on...

Let us know

Thanks

The leads are nw magnecor ones, rotor cap an arm new, plugs new ngk 705's, but she still does this, shes running 10-12psi

You may need to have the car set up as the fueling may not be right for the cam and this may cause the problem.

If you have a new cam and kit then I would chuck that in and then get the car set up.

If the 285t2 is in not bad condition then I may be interested if you wanted to sell it?

How cheeky am I !

cheers

the car was setup last year july i think at jamsport and since then has only been used on the weekends etc, not as an everyday car.

Thought it would be fine setup wise.

the cam isok i will let u know if i decide on selling it, however i think the problem is electrical or sensor or even a relay for the s1 that might be playing up, my last 285t2 never had problems it just went crazy from 4k on, mind u so does the s1, so it might just be a 285t2 cam kit thats fitted in the s1 also.
