Default jerky and juddering s1

right got this problem with my s1, its very strange but i don't know what it is, so i thought i'd post here and see if any of you good folk have had the same problem and cured it some way or other.

basiclly when i'm cruising along say 50mph in 5th, the revs will be at about 1500rpm - 200rpm roughly, the car will start jerking back an forth and juddering, the only way to get away from this is by chucking in to my power gear 3rd and do 50mph in this gear.

even if i whipped it into 4th and start to speed up back to 50mph it starts jerking and juddering, and then as it starts to pick up its speed again it goes away.

but it feels like it doing this problem when the revs are low so crusing along in 4th or 5th and say revs between 1000rpm and 2500rpm.

any ideas or similar problems or how i can rectify this. None of my s2's or other turbos do this and i drive the same way, there is definetely something not right with it.

cheeRS hope you can help
