As in title my 2003 tranny connect 90ps cuts out some times can go day 2days without doin it then it'll do twice in a row. Starts back up straight away . glow plug light comes on then bang cuts out am i right in thinking that the glow plug light is the management light ?
And has anyone had this issue on a connect before as im aware its common on mondeo tdci's but they're different engines

Glow plug light is used as a MIL, Engine Check, management light, whatever you want to call it.
Normally I would say get the fault codes read. However, diesels tend to forget the code when you switch off the ignition key. Possibly here too. Am I correct in assuming the glow light stays off after the restart?
When it stays on, you can have the codes read.

 

I was gonna get it plugged in anyway just to see if it does throw anythimng up. The light does go off after starting up again but some times the light comes on then instantly cuts out others it can flash for a mile down the road then cut out. My mate had a similer problem on a 06 plate focus 1.6 petrol and that turned out to be the accelerator pedel sensor.
