COSSIE wont rev past 3.5K!!!!!
HI, this last couple of days my 2WD Saph Cos wont let me rev past 3.5k. The second i hit 3.5k in any gear ( whether on or off boost ) its like its hitting the limiter ?
This happens even at standstill revving from idle, but when you rev it from idle it repeatedley jumps from 3.5k back to 1.5k as if you were pulsing the throttle very fast!
the car drives perfectly as long as you dont hit 3.5k.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Sounds like when an escort goes into safe get you home mode mate, thats when one of the sensors is faulty! not sure if the Sapphs did that though! Try Motorsport Developments mate,

Checked the plugs/leads just half an hour ago and took it for a gentle run. All was well, opened her up a bit to about 120 keeping an eye on the AFR then as i was coming back home it started doing the exact same again.
Just booked it in for monday, its due an oil change anyway!
My tuner said it would most likley be a sensor aswell.
Thanks for the info though.

IIRC, if the actual phase sensor is knackered, it will only allow it to rev to that, even though teh gap might be spot on, i'd change them both together TBH, they are only 25 quid each and do fail at around 30-40K, had to do them on both mine.
