I am in the processing of buying a S2 RST, at the moment its having the crank re-ground, new shells, new pistons and re-bore. Its got a Power Engineering cam, pace intercooler, k&n and full exhaust system. Running the standard T3 turbo.
Once it is run in, I am not sure of what boost to run, i would like it to peak at 18psi. Is this advisable?

One more question, what would you recommend the next engine modification to do???

depends how new the turbo is mate i ran 20psi and held 20psi on a stardard turbo for about 2years with no problems went like stink too

 

u dont say if its chipped or not, if its not then 10 psi max is all u can run due to the overboost limiter in the std chip, my spec is about the same as urs and im running 15psi and making 210 bhp and 230 lbs of torque, ur best bet is to get it set up on a rollin road and the operator can set up the boost properly and adjust the fuelling to suit

it is chipped & was running 18 psi before the rebuild.

as you are putting a standard turbo back on i suggest you run it at 16 as that is what it is known to be reliable at!
