I want my fan on a switch aswell as it coming on itself. Mainly just for when im in traffic i can just switch it on to help keep the temp down!
Has anyone done this? Wiring is not the best thing for me so any help would be good!
Also want my fuel pump on a switch to, just as abit of a immobilser. It would be hidden obviously. Was thinking of connecting it up to the cutoff switch in the boot somehow.
Its a xr3i efi by the way!
Any help or advice would be great Cheers!

A fan OVERRIDE switch can be a good idea and is very easy to do all you need is a SPST switch fitted between the wire on the fan switch and a ground point, this keeps the automated system as well, it should NEVER be solely a manual system!
Personally I would err on the side of physical security devices, i.e. disc locks etc, as with a kill switch the damage has already been done, where as with physical security will act as a visible deterrent.

Sorry to ask but what does SPST stand for? So i should connect it to the wire that runs into the fan motor itself! Then earth it there aswell.
I do have a steering lock and gearstick lock, but if someone did get these off a hidden switch would slow them down abit. Its jusy i live right on a busy main road and its on view 24/7

SPST=Single pole, single throw, essentially just a simple switch.
Yes that is all the standard thermo switch does, it simply completes the fan relays ground connection when hot enough to close the switch, so by adding another switched connection off that wire you have yourself an override switch.
