Long story short - I have fitted a Focus engine into a Ka but cannot get it to run. I assume there is a problem with the ECUs matching up and PATS preventing the car from starting.

I have the ECU printouts from both vehicles.

The PATS pins for the Ka are: #5, 38, 39, 32 and 41.

Would it run if I removed these pins completely or do they need to be plugged in somewhere?

 

You will need the key that was paired to the Focus ECU or rather the transponder within it, as at the moment I assume your using the original key?

I have the key, transponder and ECU all from the same doner vehicle.

I have taped key is taped inside the transponder but it is still not going.

Any ideas?

 

Focus immobilser runs through the instrument cluster, don't think it does on a KA.
