24v cosworth Brain picking knowledge wanted
I have a 24v cosworth boa which i am used for a race xr4i as of next year im going up a class and will be needing around the 400bhp mark what i am after doing is putting one larger turbo on the back, i was told that the pistons have cut out for the valves is this true? or is that on the bob as i heard this was a week spot and the pistons under forced induction melted here ?
or in the boa are the pistons the same as the 12v cologne as i have seen on of these with a whole set running 500 bhp on standard internals
and any things people know to do with these engines would be muchly appriciated

500 bhp will need a little piston work, standard pistons will be ok once machined, but they crack after a lot of abuse, so if your racing I would get uprated ones, boost performance first spec upgraded ones were not good, but I assume they have fixed the issue? or get some FBE forged pistons and do some work on them.
I would just go for a T4 with standard pistons keeping the boost to max 6psi, you should see about 320bhp on a good 24v
