Hi everyone
I am a new member and own a sierra sapphire cosworth rally car[my third one!]
It has stage 1 chip and grey injectors.
The car was running fine but suddenly would not tickover but still would pull on boost .
I have just discovered the sump is now filling up with fuel;any suggestions?

Sounds like it is running way too rich.
Measure map-sensor signal, coolant temperature, intake temperature.
Check hose to map-sensor and hose to fuel pressure regulator.

There's no such thing as "unnecessary changes" when electronics are involved.
You need a consistent package, not a combination of good parts that don't necessarily form a set.
So, chip, map-sensor, injectors, fuel pressure and turbo restrictor, they all have to match.
What map-sensor are you using? (2, 2.5 or 3 bar)
What restrictor is being used? (None, 38mm, 36mm, 34mm, 33mm, 32mm)
Is the car build to FIA specifications and if so, which one? (Grp A, N)

Hi Matt,
Thanks for that;I just cant underdstand having done about 50 hard miles with no problems the sump is now filling up with petrol.
I f standard injectors would solve the problem I will be happy but why wasnt the problem there before.

It was!!! dont take long to get fuel in the sump with the ammount of borewash this combo would have given. May already be too late.

Firstly those injectors on a stage 1 chip are wrong, unless someone wrote the chip for greys but I cant imagine it. Do you know who's/what chip is in it?
How long have you owned the car/how long has it been runing ok prior to this problem?
If you are intending on starting the vehicle again to investigate further then do an oild change before you do so.

whats the bet in another 50 or so miles your sump will be full of fuel again ![Rolling Eyes](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
everyone on this thread has stated you are running the wrong injectors as they are too big - i would also bet the chip is not suited to your engine too.
I would put standard injectors and get it set up properly by a reputable tuner - otherwise you will forever be having problems with it

Nothing like a bit of petrol to lubricate your bearings.
It may of course, not be a stage 1 setup at all. Could be a stage 3 / 3+ and just had a leaky/faulty injector. Although you would have seen this when looking at the plugs?? I doubt all 4 injectors would have been faulty.
