Battery light comes on

when i press the brakes a slight glow on the dashboard battery light comes on and the dash clocks and interior clock dim and go up and down any ideas please

forgot to say its on a escort cabriolet 1993 l

just been out if i unplug back lights alls ok anyone know where to starts im a mechanical man not a wireing man lol

I bet it will be a dodgy connection in the rear bulb holders , my rs 1600i used to do similar , clean up or new bulb holders should sort it .
