amal valve connectors?

Default amal valve connectors?

hi chaps

can someone tell me how i can tell what is the live terminal on a amal valve it's one of the escort or cosworth T3 ones, it has'nt got the origional plug on the loom just two terminal connectors, i know which is the live terminal from the loom i just need to make sure i plug it onto the right connection on the amal valve

There not polarised so far as I know so it will work either way round.

also when i've connected it im getting a constant clicking when running, is this correct?

Polarity is not and issue, ie they are NOT polarity concious, connect either way around it's fine.
No the amal valve certainly should not be constantly clicking, check your TPS figures.
The amal should click once when turned on etc, then only when actually working, ie boost on off etc.

sorry i should of explained myself more clearly when it's on idle there's no clicking just as soon as the car is in motion but from what you are saying this is just normal

Nope it should click when power is applied as the valve opens, if it's clicking when in motion then something is telling it to do this.

No should not click unless in use, ie driving along at a steady state should not click, check your tps.
