Hi guys,

I'm planning on fitting the engine out of my granada into my old Toyota Ta40 Carina
Does anybody know where I could find a wiring manual of this engine ? I know it's the same as the sierra engine, but the wiring on the granada seems quite different ?

is it cat or non cat?

they are very different looms but it's fairly simple to wire in as it's a stand lone loom that you can remove from the car with the ecu if it's non cat

next to the engine loom I would also want to use the rpm gauge + speedo gauge + temp gauge + some of the engine warning lights, so is there a granada workshop manual available somewhere anyway ?

 

forgive me for asking, but why this engine choice?

 

Cause it's cheap (entire granada cost me 100 euro's), the engine is pretty reliable, runs good on lpg (the toyota 1600 currently runs lpg too), the fuel consumption is pretty good, and its 120 bhp compared to the 75 bhp the toyota currently has

The toyota is a daily, and does a 50 mile roundtrip daily, so this should be a nice cheap option.

there is a big A3 sized wiring diagram folder thing, i'll see if i can find out where i got mine from as it's been a few years now

got the ford scorpio 2.0 engine running on a pallet, and decided to change the transplant into a classic toyota to an old 1978 ford taunus
much easier with the cable clutch and the front sump!
