autogauge tachometer(rev counter)??

Default autogauge tachometer(rev counter)??

hey folks as above anyone fitted one of these autogauges after market rev counter? i know that when the ignition has a coil the green wire off the gauge is meant to go to the negative side of that but what do you connect it to when its got a coil pack??

I think there is still a take off for the coil pack? Not to sure tbh as all modern cars tachos are fed via the ECU.

You simply take the feed from one side of the plug, ie "half" the coil, so it reads only 1+4 or 2+3, you then adjust the cylinder setting on the tacho to read right.
On a zetec coilpack for example with the three pin plug, the centre is live, and the outer wires/terminals are negative, or "green" on older style coils.
