2006 focus zetec 1.8 wont start following chnage of fuel filter. what am i doing wrong

 

is it diesel or petrol??

i'm guessing diesel. in which case i've heard you need to fill the filter with fuel first as they can be a bastard to start otherwise.

 

it is diesel. do you just fill filter through bleed nipple or do you have to open injectors afterwards

 

tow it off it will start then

 

tbh i've never done a diesel filter only petrol and they just have one in and one out so always assumed when people say fill the filter to just block the outlet and fill the inlet or half fit it and fill it...depends on possition its fitted to the car.

other just tow them for miles as has been said.

 

You need to fill the filter with fuel, and crack the injectors off in turn to remove all air.

a mans job! nah seriously the filter needs filling up with derv thencrack injector. I used to do them on my mates taxi fucked him off cos they were a right twat to do,especially for gratis lol

 

i wasn't actually doing the work it was a mans job but he gets me to operate computer
