strory all havin serious trouble with a mk3 fiesta 95 won't start after a series of cut outs i've heard it might be the throttle senor or the coolant temp sensor i would like to know if anyone has any ideas the things been up on axle stands for ages dropped the tank and all to get at the p pump to test it and it ended up being perfect total waste of time

Very doubtful if a cts will stop it from starting, as for the tps this is also doubtful, unless it showed no reading, test the tps 5v input and varying output with the ignition on with a multi meter.
Have you checked for a spark, checked for fuel reaching injectors, is there any rail pressure there ?

CPS=Crankshaft Position Sensor and the fact you have spark shows this to be fine.
You could check the connector for it as it is prone for being loose although not this car in particular.
You have spark but do you have fuel reaching the rail?

Not being funny, but if working on cars, which is usually down to high garage costs you need to buy a multi meter, just so useful for so many things, no tool box is complete without one.
Can get these from around Ł5, maplins, ebay etc, could buy 10 for the cost of a hours labour.

oh you might have the wrong engine in mind its got a cfi unit with one full line in and one out its got an injector in the centre bolted on above the throttle body there is no fuel rail there's a throttle sensor bolted on the side with a little arm on it that moves in sinc with the throttle lever on the t body and another sensor that looks like a solinoide that has a little rod at one end and a block connector on the other its bolted behind the lever on the t body when the t body is closed it rests on the rod pushin it back in about a centimeter when the throttle body is open the rod comes out that centimeter again i'm guessing its an idle sensor
