Default Fiesta RS1800 Cutting Out

Anyone got any ideas why the RS1800 keeps cutting out when you slow down to stop and put the clutch down only happens when the car is hot?

Check the clutch pedal switch (If applicable) the connector on this can get knocked off by a stray foot.

When you say cut out is it instant and does the car start back up ok after as it could be an idle issue?

My RS1800 used to do exactly this when I had a superchip plugged in. I gave up on it in the end and pulled it out. Might be worth checking you've not got a chip, possibly with a dodgy connection.

The other thing could be a clogged idle speed control valve.

That is why i said if applicable this as the modern Fiestas do and it's quite common to see the connectors getting knocked off with a loose boot going astray.

Good point about the Superchips modules they are a nightmare, it will be a blue module plugged into your ECU.
