have just bought a focus 1.6 , would like to have a bit more power for overtaking, would fitting an induction kit on its own make much difference or would i need to do anything else as well.

A induction kit on it's own will sound faster but you'd be hard pushed to notice and improvement on it's own, exhaust can make a big difference esp if cat replacement one where you cna put the cat back just for the mot, this with air filter should help noticebly, but it's still only a 1.6.
