Default irratic idle

I've got a FRST with a irratic idle problem so far I have had new spark plugs, new leads, new air filter, cleaned the Idle Speed Control Valve and checked for air leaks, new crank case sensor, however the idle is still not smooth. If I disconnect the ISCV and let the car run on base idle it still has irratic idle, this is the same when I unplug the TPS, any help before I go mad.

car mods

magnex exhaust
k&n and thats it

have you changed the breather/oil seperator (black canester near the cambelt cover) these can leak internally, there cheap, so worth a try, good luck also they are normaly lumpy on base idle as this should be set @ an unhappy 700-750rpm (ups to approx 950 when iscv reconnected) & is your cam good?

my mate has problem with his frst idleing aswell. When his frst is completely warmed up and u disconnect the iscv valve multiplug his just cuts out straight away? if u start his car up without the iscv plugged up, you need to give it acceleration for it to start up and will only idle if u keep your foot on the accelerator pedal and hold it at 900 - 1000rpm otherwsie it cuts out straight away the moment you move your foot off the pedal, and this all happens when its up to running temperature aswell, so fan has come on an off a few times by now.
IT also stalls while your driving it an you press the clutch down when slowing down for a junction, an the battery & oil lights come on in the dash, and will start only if u stick it 2nd gear and rolling start it by lifting clutch pedal up an jerking start it kinda thing whilst its rolling along.

Does this sound like a base idle problem?

when its fully warmed up and parked up on the driveway, it also starts idleing very funny goes down to 500rpm then pulls itself up again and goes to 1000rpm and kinda hunts up an down, wanting to cut out but then coming alive again, and then finally after a little of this it will go to 500 rpm, oil an battery dash lights flicker and she cuts out.

any ideas, kinda hoping peeps in this post no what i'm going on about, sorry for posting on your thread mate, hope you can help though.

cheeRS

p.s iscv has been replaced and cleaned but its still doing the same thing everytime??

Has anyone actually set the base idle and base fuel mixture?

Base idle and fuel mixture needs setting. Simple as that most likely.

well the base idle has been set and I have no dump valve I have just fitted a brand new iscv and had the fuel mixture set and it is a little better. It only sounds like popping from the exhaust, have been told that I could do with a new tps as when unplugged it seems to idle even better bearing in mind that I am very fussy and want the car running right.Anyone know where I can buy a new (not second hand) tps as ford tell me that this part is discontinued
